St. Lawrence Central val and sal annnounced in Brasher Falls

BRASHER FALLS -- St. Lawrence Central High School’s 2018 valedictorian is Emily Grow and the salutatorian is Breanna Anderson.

Emily is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Grow of Helena. She is treasurer of the National Honor Society chapter, and is a member of the varsity soccer team, varsity softball team, varsity basketball team, the Spanish Club, Tri-M Musical Honor Society, the school musical group, the Outing Club and Jazz Band.

Emily will pursue a career that combines her interests in bio-medical engineering and computer science and which allows her to travel as much as possible. She said she wants to visit all seven continents.

She encourages upcoming students to pursue their interests and join clubs and teams while in high school.

Emily plans to attend the University of Notre Dame this fall, majoring in biomedical engineering and computer science.

Breanna is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dustin Anderson of Winthrop. She is the president of HOSA at Seaway Career and Technical Center. She is also a member of the varsity swim team, the school musical group, National Honor Society and Chamber Choir.

Breanna plans to pursue a career as a physician assistant, where she looks forward to helping people.

Breanna encourages upcoming students to focus on their work while on high school. Breanna plans to attend Daeman College in the fall where she will pursue her bachelors and master’s degrees in the physician assistant program.
