A school district about 40 miles east of Rochester has hired the superintendent of Brasher Falls Central School District to be the superintendent there.
Stephan Vigliotti has been appointed as the head of North Rose-Wolcott schools with a contract that begins Jan. 1, according to a press release from the school.
Over the past 24 years, Vigliotti has served in various roles in public education including classroom teacher, elementary school principal, junior-senior high principal, deputy superintendent, and superintendent of schools.
Vigliotti received a bachelor of science in sociology from SUNY Brockport, a master’s of science in education from SUNY Postdam, and a masters degree in educational administration from St. Lawrence University.
“I am looking forward to working with the students, staff and community of the North Rose-Wolcott District to continue to improve student outcomes,” Vigliotti said in the release.
“We are confident that Mr. Vigliotti’s leadership will enrich the educational experience of our students, and we are very grateful to everyone who helped us arrive at this decision including: dedicated staff, students and community members,” a statement from the Board of Education said.
