St. Lawrence Central, Potsdam, Madrid, Canton, Massena and Colton Seaway Tech students honored
NORWOOD – The staff and administration at Seaway Career & Technical Education Center in Norwood have selected Kerry Foster as the Potsdam Rotary Club/Seaway Career & Technical Education Center Student of the Month for January 2011.
Kerry, who is enrolled in the Environmental Technology Program, is also a student at St. Lawrence Central School. He is the son of Kerry and Kathy Foster.Kerry has been involved in various aspects of Forestry, Land Management, Horticulture, Landscaping, Heavy Equipment Operation and Commercial Driver’s License operation.
Kerry will have entry level skills to a wide variety of career fields: the forest industry, farm and agriculture, heavy equipment operations, truck driving, highway maintenance and much more.
Mr. Mullaney, Kerry’s instructor, has said the following about the student: “Kerry is very diligent in what he does, setting goals and then striving to achieve them. Kerry has been a great student for the past two years, and I am certain he will someday make someone an excellent employee. Not only does Kerry know how to work, but his sense of humor allows people around him to enjoy working with him. Kerry is currently the only student so far to obtain his CDL permit. Kerry is also interning at St. Lawrence Timber Harvesting (Curran Logging).”
