There were 3,662 bucks and 6,233 total white-tailed deer taken by hunters in St. Lawrence County during the 2010 season, according to figures reported Monday by DEC.
While the state as a whole saw slightly higher numbers this past season than in 2009, hunters in St. Lawrence County were slightly less successful in 2010 than 2009.
The St. Lawrence County take totalled 3,959 bucks and 6,850 total deer in the 2009 season harvest.

In Wildlife Management Unit 6C, roughly the part of St. Lawrence County outside the Adirondack Park and south of U.S. Rt. 11, 1,792 bucks were taken and 3,454 total deer.
North of Rt. 11 in WMU 6A, 2,050 bucks were taken and 3,625 total deer.
