NORWOOD -- Sports For Cancer held their third annual Dave Keleher Memorial Benefit Tournament and Chicken BBQ, and it was a big success, according to the organizers.
The committee members want to thank those who helped out with the tournament, including the 13 teams and their sponsors, the village of Norwood for the use of their two ball fields, local businesses who donated items to raffles and other items, the local businesses who made donations and the many other individuals who helped.
Special thanks go to Norwood American Legion Post 68, who hosted the event and to the Legion’s Sons, Ladies Auxiliary, and the live band "40 UP."
Their next event, touch football behind the old school on Prospect Street in Norwood, is set for Saturday, Oct. 15
