Sponsors sought for ONNY holiday pops concert in Massena

MASSENA -- Sponsors are needed for the eighth holiday pops concert by the Orchestra of Northern New York.

Massena Music Friends will host the orchestra concert at 7:30 p.m., Dec. 15 at the Massena High School Auditorium.

The group, a volunteer association dedicated to raising funds for school music programs in the community, is seeking support from local businesses and service organizations to help cover the cost of the concert so all ticket sales will benefit school music programs.

"Sponsorship of this Massena tradition is a creative way to say 'Happy Holidays' to customers, friends and the community," says MMF president Angie Shantie.

This year's concert, Celebrate the Holidays, will feature the Massena High School Mixed Chorus, under the direction of Chris Lincoln.

It will include music from John Williams' “Home Alone,” John Rutter's “Christmas Lullaby,” the "Hallelujah" chorus from Messiah, and other holiday favorites.

Sponsorship levels are: $1,000 (aluminum), $500 (gold), $250 (silver), $100 (bronze) and $50 (friends).

Donations of any amount are welcome, according to concert organizers.

Benefits vary based on level of giving and include publicity opportunities for the donor and tickets to the event.

To receive recognition in the concert's program, on the poster and lobby signage, donations must be received by Friday, Nov. 16.

Over the years, MMF has raised thousands of dollars to meet the needs of the district's music programs, thanks to generous sponsors and concertgoers.
