POTSDAM -- This summer, SLC Arts is presenting a special exhibit featuring artwork by SLC Arts members hosted in a secure gallery space at the St. Lawrence Centre in Massena.
SLC Arts invites current and potential future members to submit images of their two- and three-dimensional work on-line to be juried for this exhibit.
Two prizes will be awarded to artists submitting work for the SLC Arts Member Show.
Best in Show, as determined by a committee of jurors, will be awarded at the exhibit opening on Friday, July 21; the winner will receive a $100 cash prize and free SLC Arts membership for a year.
The People's Choice award will be presented later in the summer when the exhibit closes and is determined by exhibit visitors who cast votes for their favorite artwork.
Entrants must be current SLC Arts members; basic membership starts at only $25 a year per household.
Images of artwork to be entered in the exhibit must be submitted online by May 18 for consideration at www.slcartscouncil.org, "Artist Opportunities."
