COLTON – A South Colton woman whose vehicle rolled over off of Rt. 56 Tuesday afternoon was taken to the hospital.

Ellen M. Mandigo, 44, 3927 St. Rt. 56, was given a ticket by St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputies for speed not reasonable and prudent after she lost control of the vehicle on Rt. 56 near Stowe Road, leaving the snow-covered road, striking a speed limit sign, rolling down an embankment, and overturning.

Mandigo was taken by Colton Rescue A232 to Canton-Potsdam Hospital complaining of head pain.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by Colton Fire and Rescue, Pierrepont Fire and First Responders, and Potsdam Rescue.
