Skies will clear some late today and tonight before clouds begin building up again for another round of rain later this week, according to the National Weather Service forecast for the North Country.
Temperatures a bit above normal for the time of year will continue through Thursday, while showers are expected to return Wednesday into Thursday as cooler temperatures begin to move in.
Highs Tuesday and Wednesday are expected to be near 70 degrees before dropping by about 10 degrees for the rest of the week and into the weekend.
Overnight lows are expected to be mainly in the 40s.

The NWS forecast for the St. Lawrence Valley and northwestern Adirondacks:
• Today: Partly sunny, with a high near 64. West wind around 8 mph.
• Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 43. Calm wind.
• Tuesday: Increasing clouds, with a high near 68. Calm wind.
• Tuesday Night: Cloudy, with a low around 54. East wind 5 to 8 mph.
• Wednesday: Showers likely, mainly after 2pm. Cloudy, with a high near 70. South wind 10 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
• Wednesday Night: Showers. Low around 49. South wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
• Thursday: A 40 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 59. West wind 8 to 10 mph.
