The National Weather Service is calling for a chance of snow Saturday that could give way to a wet week leading up to Christmas in St. Lawrence County.

They are calling for snow countywide, with up to 60 percent odds in Massena, Ogdensburg and Potsdam, with 40 to 50 percent chances in other communities during the day Saturday. Temperatures are predicted in the low to mid 30s.

Saturday night brings 40 to 50 percent odds in most towns, with 60 percent in Potsdam. Temperatures are predicted to drop to the mid 20s.

Sunday should be mostly sunny in Massena, Canton, Ogdensburg and Gouverneur, with decreasing clouds in Potsdam and Star Lake. Thermometers are forecast to read in the low 30s. Night hours could bring cloudy skies with temperatures in the high 20s.

Monday brings a 50 to 60 percent chance of showers, with day and night temperatures in the low 40s.

The NWS say ran could hang around Tuesday, with 30 to 50 percent odds and temperatures remaining in the low 40s.
