COLTON -- A snowmobiler was injured in a Saturday accident after his sled went off the trail, according to the Department of Environmental Conservation.
DEC only identified the man as a 49-year-old from Flanders.
The agency said his snowmobile veered off the west side of trail 7A, went down an 8-foot embankment and struck a small spruce tree.
Tupper Lake Rescue Squad and state Forest Rangers responded.
The man was taken to Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake, according to the DEC.
