There is a 40 to 50 percent chance of snow today and Monday with temperatures in the 30s and a couple of inches of snowfall possible, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

The week will begin warm with highs in the 40s before a Canadian high pressure system brings a return to slightly below normal temperatures for the end of the week, NWS says.

Monday's forecast call for a high around 33, mostly sunny and total snow accumulation of less than a half inch.

Tuesday and Wednesday will see highs around 40 with an overnight low on Tuesday of 30 and 19 on Wednesday night, the service says.

The forecast for the rest of the week is as follows:

Monday A 40 percent chance of snow showers, mainly before 11am. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 33. West wind 10 to 13 mph. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Monday Night Mostly cloudy, with a low around 21. Southwest wind 8 to 11 mph.

Tuesday Mostly sunny, with a high near 44. Southwest wind 14 to 16 mph.

Tuesday Night Mostly cloudy, with a low around 30. Southwest wind 13 to 15 mph.

Wednesday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 19. Northwest wind around 9 mph.
