Snow is on the horizon for the North Country, according to the National Weather Service.

A low pressure system will bring light rain into the area today, followed by a high pressure system early Monday, which will bring drier weather but colder temperatures, the service says.

Temperatures are likely to remain in the lower 40s today, with snow or rain showers likely overnight. Snow accumulation will likely be no more than two inches, the service says.

Sunday is expected to be partly sunny with a chance of snow flurries in the morning, turning to clouds in the afternoon, with temperatures in the 40's, the service says.

Snow is also on the potential forecast for Monday, according to the service.

Temperatures are expected to remain in the 40's through Wednesday, the service says.
