Snow to let up for weekend, sunny skies and warmer temperatures on horizon

Posted

The snow is finally expected to let up this weekend, with partly sunny skies to reign both Saturday and Sunday.

However, a low pressure system will keep temperatures seasonally cool through Sunday, according to the National Weather Service. Periodic flurries and snow showers are also possible in high elevations. Temperatures in the high 30s are predicted.

Warmer temperatures are on the horizon, the NWS says. Dry weather in the early portion of next week is expected to bring moderate to seasonal temperatures.

Rain and snow showers may return in the latter portion of next week, the service says, but highs will likely reach into the 40s.
