Snow is falling in St. Lawrence County, but in most area's it's expected to change to rain as the temperature rises this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

Many St. Lawrence County residents woke up to the following snow, which has continued through the morning hours. but less than a half inch of accumulation is expected.

Things are will likely warm up as the week moves on with temperatures in the 50s predicted for most of the week. But Lows will still hover around the freezing point at night.

Today: Rain and snow likely before noon, then a chance of rain between noon and 2pm. Cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 43. Northeast wind 11 to 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 24. Northwest wind around 5 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 46. Northwest wind 7 to 10 mph becoming west in the afternoon.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 28. Southwest wind 6 to 8 mph becoming northwest after midnight.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 52. Northwest wind 3 to 7 mph.
