CANTON – The Canton Chamber of Commerce is looking for donations of small household items (no clothing, computers, or large appliances) that the chamber can offer for sale at the 4th annual Canton Community Sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14 in the Canton Pavilion.
The chamber sale is in part to make up for the tighter regulations on food service that will prevent the chamber from having a fundraising barbecue at the pavilion this year. Contact Sally at the office, 386-8255, to arrange pickup.
Meanwhile, vendors of garage sale and flea market items, antiques, crafts, and displays and products from regular retailers are all welcome to set up and display their wares.
A 15-by-15-foot display space costs $20, and you can rent as many spaces as needed. The pavilion will be open beforehand, on Friday night and Saturday morning, so that people can drive right up to their spaces to unload (no trailers Saturday morning).
The pavilion was filled last year and the Canton Chamber of Commerce is hoping to do the same this year. When the hall is full, people will be permitted to set up tents outside.
For info or reservations, call 386-8255.
