CANTON -- The St. Lawrence University Reading Buddies program pairs SLU student volunteers with third- and fourth-grade students at St. Mary's School in Canton to encourage reading for enjoyment.
Buddies meet once a week to spend 30 minutes taking turns reading a book, then playing games that improve reading skills.
In the photo, Hugh Neville, Class of '14, reads with St. Mary's third-grader Schuyler Kennedy.
