CANTON -- The League of American Bicyclists recently recognized St. Lawrence University with a bronze-level designation as a Bicycle Friendly University (BFU).
There are now 182 Bicycle Friendly Universities in 45 states and Washington, D.C.
St. Lawrence first launched its Green Bikes Program in 2004, allowing students, faculty and staff to loan out bikes during the spring, summer and autumn months. With support from a 2013 campus Innovation Grant, there are two bike “Fix-It & Go” stations situated outside of the Owen D. Young Library and the Launders Science Library at Madill Hall, a news release from SLU said.
