Slippery roads lead to rash of accidents in DePeyster, Gouverneur, Lisbon, Oswegatchie, Canton, Brasher, Lawrence; 4 reported hurt

Four people were hurt Monday as slippery roads Monday led to more than a dozen accidents in DePeyster, Gouverneur, Lisbon, Oswegatchie, Canton, Brasher and Lawrence, according to state police.

Deuard D. Vanornum, 76, DePeyster, was in an accident in which one person was reported hurt, at about 9 a.m. on County Rt. 10 near State Rt. 184 in DePeyster.

About half an hour later, vehicles driven by Wendy M. Baker, 35, Richville, and T.J. Cryderman, 30, Gouverneur, were in an accident where one person was reportedly hurt, along U.S. Rt. 11 near Bristol Road in Gouverneur.

Shortly before 2:30 p.m., Tarra L. Sharlow, 25, had an accident in which two people were reported hurt, along County Rt. 10 near Sanderson Road in Lisbon.

At about 11:30 a.m., Yvonne E. Fuller, 54, Gouverneur, had an accident on Dane Road near Little Bow Road in Gouverneur.

Kaitlin A. Chase, 20, Ogdensburg, was in an accident along State Rt. 68 near Hardscrabble Road in Lisbon at about 12:30 p.m.

At about 1 p.m., Patricia L. Reynolds, 37, Lisbon, had a mishap with her vehicle along State Rt. 812 near Delaney Road in Oswegatchie.

Aaron M. Reardon, 30, Colton, and Terry R. Hewitt, 57, Canton, were in an accident shortly before 3 p.m. along County Rt. 27 near Hale Road in Canton.

At about 5 p.m., vehicles driven by Chad R. Simmons, 25, DeKalb Junction, and Heith M. Provost, 27, Winthrop, had an accident on State Rt. 11C near County Rt. 53 in Brasher.

Abut an hour later, Kayla Jean Clemmo, 23, Brasher Falls, was in an accident with her vehicle in Brasher, along State Rt. 37C near County Rt. 37.

Shortly before 7 p.m., Allyssa Rushlow, 21, Colchester, Vt., had an accident along State Rt. 11B near Peru Street in Lawrence.
