Slic Network Solutions has launched its new streaming TV service called myEVTV in its St. Lawrence County service areas.
They will roll out myEVTV area-by-area on a schedule which can be found at www.myEVTV.com.
It is an Internet protocol television service (IPTV) capable of delivering multiple high-definition video signals over Slic’s fiber-optic network to set-top boxes in customer homes, providing over 250 channels, more than 60 available HD channels, 50 CD-quality music channels, premium movie channels, NFL RedZone, integrated Vudu video-on-demand service and features like Caller ID on TV and Whole-Home DVR.
The expansion has been funded largely by grants and loans from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) totaling over $33 million.
When completed, new lines in previously unserved areas are expected to reach over 6,000 residential customers.
A portion of the funding was earmarked for the internet-protocol television service.
More information on pricing, bundles, and channel lineups can be found at www.myevtv.com.
Area residents can also call Slic Network Solutions at (877) 754-2266 (press 1 for customer service) for more information or to request an installation date.
Slic Network Solutions, a fiber-to-the-home provider based in St. Lawrence County, surpassed the 3,000-customer mark in May on its 800 miles of new fiber-optic cable.
Customers in the more rural areas of St. Lawrence and Franklin counties have expressed pleasure at having high-capacity television and internet service for the first time.
