SL Central graduate LeBoeuf awarded medal for contribution to Army readiness

U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Douglas J. LeBoeuf, formerly of Stockholm and a 1995 graduate of St. Lawrence Central, was awarded the Bronze Order of the De Fleury medal in a ceremony held at the Buckhorn, Mo. VFW Post 3168.

The medal is in recognition of the superior service to the Engineer Regiment as it supports the Army to assure mobility, enhance protection, enable expeditionary logistics and build capacity in order to provide commanders with the freedom of action required for full spectrum operations in an era of persistent conflict.

S1C LeBoeuf's efforts have significantly contributed to the overall readiness of the Army and reflect great credit upon the Corps. Of Engineers.

S1C LeBoeuf is the son of Fred and Sandi Cockayne of Potsdam, who attended the ceremony.

S1C LeBoeuf is a 16 year veteran of the US Army with seven combat deployments behind him and one upcoming in November when he heads to Afghanistan.
