MASSENA – The Friends of the Robert Moses State Park Nature Center hosted a winter scavenger hunt for their Junior Earth Keeper Club on Saturday, March 8.
Six teams hit the Nature Center trails with digital cameras and recorded items from a list. They included a "leaf still on a tree" to a "hole in a tree where an animal can live."
The photos were posted on the club's Facebook page.
Jr. Earth Keepers is a free environmental educational kid’s club which meets monthly, and provides regular incentives for learning and volunteering at the Nature Center.
It is a grant-funded program encouraging kids to get active outdoors and use fun, new technologies to help them discover an appreciation for the natural world.
