CANTON -- Six members from the Northwest Tech FFA Chapter visited Maplewood in Canton to make holiday crafts with the residents.

They spent over one hour painting snowmen ornaments and making bead candy-cane crafts. The residents enjoyed talking with students and they shared family holiday traditions.

The National FFA Organization, which has over 600,000 members, allows members to develop leadership skills, personal growth and career success through agriculture education.

The FFA motto “Learning to Do, Doing to Learn, Earning to Live, Living to Serve” guides the members as they pursue their agriculture education experience.

This is the second active year of the newly resurrected Northwest Tech FFA Chapter and they plan to expand their community service efforts in the coming year.
