OGDENSBURG -- Students will have chance to show school spirit by smashing a car with a sledgehammer Friday at 4 p.m. at Ogdensburg Free Academy.

The Ogdensburg Free Academy Key Club will host a school spirit car smash before the OFA football game with Canton Central.

Proceeds will benefit the Ogdensburg Free Academy Key Club, helping to send young people to the state leadership training conference in Albany in March.

The cost is $5 for three swings with a sledgehammer. The event begins at 4 p.m..

The car smash is open to students and adults.

The students at St. Lawrence Lewis BOCES Northwest Tech auto technology students removed the glass and gas tank from the P.T. Cruiser, donated by Michael Sarkin and Maple City Auto.
