MASSENA -- St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim of a fatal Wednesday night house fire.
The victim was Aiden M. Riley, 5.
He died when the Shari Caza residence at 2224 State Route 420 burned around 10 p.m. that night.
St. Lawrence County and New York state fire investigators have determined the fire started on the second floor near the top of the stairs outside the bedroom doors.
The cause is still undetermined, deputies said.
An autopsy determined the cause of Riley’s death was smoke inhalation, pending lab results, according to the sheriff’s office.
