CANTON – St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies are asking for the public’s help in locating a vehicle that struck a dog on County Route 27, about one mile south of the Pike Road intersection.
Deputies said the small dog was hit and injured at about 12:30 p.m. today by a silver-colored Pontiac that left the scene.
Deputies said they want to speak with the operator of the vehicle and any witnesses to the accident. They have not yet identified the dog owner.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 379-2222.
