MASSENA -- Village police made multiple arrests early this morning as part of a multi-agency investigation into a gang-related drug pipeline from New York City to Massena.
Authorities are not yet releasing their names, but said seven people have been taken into custody in Massena and Norfolk.
Massena Police Sgt. Adam Love said they are calling the probe "Operation Believe It or Not," but would not elaborate on the name's significance.
Love said the case started with an arrest in Massena.
There are 25 other people tied to the case being charged on indictments in New York City today, Love said.
He said more details, including suspects' names, will be released later today.
