EDWARDS -- Edwards Senior Court apartment reopens following electric fire in March. Nine months after a fire damaged the apartment complex, building two at Edwards Senior Court, Edwards, has been refurbished and residents have moved back.
The electrical fire took place the morning of March 22, and thanks to the quick actions of caretaker Larry Wisner no one was hurt, a release from United Helpers said.
Resident Sandra Whitford said after nine months of living with family and renting an apartment from a friend, she’s happy to be home.
Her apartment has been completely redone, featuring a larger, more spacious kitchen and a layout focusing on open space.
Whitford said the move back was smooth with caretakers working to ensure her needs are attended to quickly.
