POTSDAM – State Sen. Joe Griffo will tour the facility as work continues to complete Clarkson University’s new Nanoengineering and Biotechnology Laboratories
Griffo joins Clarkson President Tony Collins for a tour of the new laboratories at 10:30 a.m. today.
Clarkson says work is drawing to a close and they are starting to move several research groups into the new labs.
Nano-bio-Technology is one of the fastest growing areas of research. To be competitive in the research and education of students in this area, Clarkson found research support for scholars working in this multidisciplinary area.
Clarkson’s National Science Foundation Industry/University Cooperative Research Center for Identification Technology Research, CITeR, http://www.clarkson.edu/citer/about/index.html, will be in this space, as well as the Center for Rehabilitation Engineering, Science and Technology, CREST, http://www.clarkson.edu/crest/.
Both centers support industry research agendas in the North Country and upstate regions of New York.
