OGDENSBURG -- Nearly 500 St. Lawrence County job seekers attended state Senator Patty Ritchie’s second annual Job and Career Fair at the Odd Fellows Community Hall.
“This Job and Career Fair was all about connecting hardworking people with jobs that are right for them,” said Senator Ritchie.
“So many of the employers at the event are hiring right now. Even if people didn’t find a match, they were able to get tips on everything from broadening their career choices to creating a resume that lands them their next job.”
Wednesday’s Job and Career Fair featured 65 local employers and organizations offering job opportunities and tips for people to improve their job searching skills.
Ritchie also encourages job seekers to visit her online Jobs Bank, which includes listings for 70,000 jobs available right now across the state. A link to the bank can be found at www.ritchie.nysenate.gov.
