NORWOOD -- Students from the Seaway Tech Culinary Arts 1 & 2 classes made a special contribution to the Potsdam Holiday Fund this year.
The students made 3,600 sugar cookies, preparing the dough, cutting out the cookies, baking, decorating, and packaging them.
A dozen of the frosted sugar cookies were included in each of the food baskets provided to families through the Potsdam Holiday Fund.
The Potsdam Rotary Club coordinates the food baskets for the Fund. Theresa Smith is the Culinary Arts instructor.
This year the Potsdam Holiday Fund provided food, warm clothing and gifts to more than 300 families in need in the Potsdam area. Donations are welcome throughout the year and may be mailed to the Potsdam Holiday Fund, PO Box 827, Potsdam, NY 13676.
