Seaway Tech announces 'students of month,'

Posted

NORWOOD – Seaway Career & Technical Education Center has announced the selection of Brittany Brothers as the Potsdam Rotary Club/Seaway Career & Technical Education Center Student of the Month for December 2011.

Brittany, who is enrolled in the Multi-Occupations Program, is also a student at Potsdam. She is the daughter of June Currier.

Multi-Occupations is designed to accommodate a wide variety of learning styles and their relationship to Vocational Education.

The program introduces students to many of the trades offered at Seaway Career & Technical Education Center.

Many students go on to one of the CTE programs upon completion of the Multi-Occupations Program.

Brittany is extremely determined.

She invites challenges offered by the introduction of new concepts.

She excels at carpentry but is not afraid to jump in with both feet when she is asked to try something new or different and she is a good person.

Other students selected as Student of the Month for their class at the Seaway Career & Technical Education Center include:

• Ashlyn Ashley, Allied Health, Norwood-Norfolk

• Jon-Alec Connell, Building Trades, Massena

• Amanda Locey, Cosmetology, Massena

• Nicole Scovil-Haught, Criminal Justice, Potsdam

• Kristara Phelix, Early Childhood, Brasher Falls

• Jeremy Gibson, Environmental Tech, Parishville-Hopkinton

• Tiffany Green, Health Careers, Colton-Pierrepont

• Jon Saviski, HVAC, Brasher Falls
