OGDENSBURG -- Amusement rides at the Ogdensburg Seaway Festival will not be operating today and Tuesday, but they will return Wednesday and continue through Saturday in the greenbelt area.
The carnival rides returned this year and operated this past Friday through Sunday as crowds descended into the city for the 59th annual festival. Earlier publicity incorrectly indicated the rides would operate today and Tuesday. North Country Now regrets the error.
Even without the rides, the Seaway Festival will continue today with a performance presented by the Ogdensburg Dance Center on the main stage in Library Park from 7 to 9 p.m.
On Tuesday, “Ogdensburg’s Got Talent” will debut at the Riverside main stage with categories for youth, high school and adult.
On Wednesday, amusement rides start up again, operating from 5 to 10 p.m. Tricycle races take place in the Greenbelt Park at 6 p.m., The Fabulous Shoes Do Wop Revue will appear at 6:30 p.m. at the Library Park gazebo, and the Seaway Cruisers plan a cruise-in at 6 p.m. in Greenbelt Park.
