OGDENSBURG – Ogdensburg City Council are still conducting interviews for the city manager position.
At a Monday meeting Mayor William Nelson said he would not discuss the candidates publicly.
On Oct. 22 the city held interviews behind closed doors. On Monday the council held an executive session with city attorney Andrew Silver for “proposed contract litigation.” But no action was taken following the private meeting.
Nelson said he would like to see a city manager hired before John Pinkerton retires Dec. 31, but added that he does not want to rush the process.
Pinkerton was hired in October of 2012 on a three-year contract. Pinkerton had planned to retire when that term expired, but agreed to stay on longer at request of the council.
