Sealander is the son of Jennie Sealander, Star Lake.
He was the recipient of the Clarkson Leadership Award, the University of Rochester Bausch & Lomb Honorary Science Award, and the Wendy’s High School Heisman Award.
He was also recognized by 7 News as an Academic All-Star.
[img_assist|nid=199668|title=Mathews|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=175|height=244]Sealander has enjoyed participation in numerous extracurricular activities, including Student Council (president), National Honor Society, varsity soccer, varsity basketball, varsity track, Boy Scouts of America, band, chorus, Senior High All County Band, Senior High All County Chorus, Zone 5 Area All State Chorus, school musicals, and jazz band.
He has earned Section X Academic All-Northern recognition several times. William plans to attend the University of Rochester in the fall to study neuroscience. He then plans to attend medical school, specializing in Psychiatry.
Mathews is the daughter of LeeAndrew and Mellisa Mathews, Oswegatchie.
She received the University of Rochester Frederick Douglass and Susan B. Anthony Award and the Student Sage Award.
Mathews has enjoyed participating in varsity soccer, varsity softball, varsity basketball, band, chorus, marching band for a neighboring district, Senior High All County Band, Zone 5 Area All State Band, NYSSMA, jazz band, pit band for the school musical, student government, language club, and National Honor Society.
She will pursue a major in animal science at SUNY Cobleskill in the fall.
She ultimately hopes to become a veterinarian.
