OGDENSBURG -- SeaComm recently donated $250 to the United Helpers’ Oktoberfest Costumed Prediction Run/Walk.
The event is set for Oct. 27. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. at the Maplewood Pavilion in Canton with walkers at 10 a.m. and runners at 10:30 a.m. Proceeds will benefit residents of United Helpers.
Participants are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite costumes and predict their time. Actual distance of the race will be announced at registration.
Prizes will be given to the top three males and top three females that are the closest to their predicted time.
Pre-register by Oct. 11 and a long sleeved t-shirt will be guaranteed with entry fee.
Cost is $15 per person. Children 12 and under are free without a T-shirt.
Refreshments will be served before and after the race. Goody bags will be provided for the children, as well as biscuits for those who bring dogs.
There will also be kid’s activities at the event including a bouncy house, weather permitting.
