POTSDAM -- The Potsdam-area coordinator for the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign is asking for more volunteer bell ringers to tend the kettles outside of retail establishments during holiday shopping.
“As the Red Kettle coordinator for the Potsdam area, I am reaching out to members of the community to ask for help with this project,” said coordinator Kate Mikel. “We could ring more days and more hours with enough volunteers.”
The familiar kettles are to be placed at local retailers such as the Potsdam Price Chopper, IGA, and Kinney Drugs stores.
More places could be covered for longer if enough volunteers come forward.
Those who wish to help can reach Mikel at 212-9600, 268-4396, or kmikel@clarkson.edu
Mikel said in a letter to North Country This Week the money raised will be used to assist those in need in our community.
