Dr. Kristin G. Esterberg will be on the SUNY Potsdam campus Feb. 20 and 21, the second candidate for the college's presidency to visit.
Esterberg is provost and academic vice president at Salem State University. She has served as deputy provost at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, where she was also associate provost and chair of the sociology department. Before that, she was the director of women's studies at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
Esterberg earned her bachelor's degree in philosophy and political science at Boston University, and her master's and Ph.D. in sociology from Cornell University.
She will be at two public forums during her visit, on Thursday, Feb. 20 from 2:45 to 3:45 p.m. in Dunn Theater and Friday, Feb. 21 from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. in Raymond Hall's eighth floor dining room)
