RUSSELL -- St. Lawrence County sheriff deputies say they charged a Russell man with driving while intoxicated following an injury accident where they had to track down the driver of a vehicle that had crashed on Pyrities Russell Road.
Carlton Franklin, 25, of county Route 24 is charged with DWI, no inspection, no insurance and failure to keep right, police said.
Deputies say early on Sunday morning found the crashed car, abandoned.
They say they found Franklin at a residence on county Route 24 a short time later.
He was taken to Canton-Potsdam Hospital for treatment, deputies said.
