RUSSELL — A Russell man was arrested for driving while intoxicated on Pyrites-Russell Road following a traffic stop for driving more than twice the legal speed limit, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.

Justin L. Goodale, 31, was charged with first-offense DWI and speed in zone, officers said.

He was allegedly observed driving 69 miles per hour in a 30 mph zone on County Route 24, deputies said.

His blood-alcohol content (BAC) was .11 percent, officers said.

He was issued tickets returnable to Russell court at a later date.
