POTSDAM -- A Russell man was charged with driving while intoxicated after he allegedly drove into guide rails on Route 35.
Gregory R. Sayer, 33, 96 Silver Hill Road, was charged with driving while intoxicated and speeds not reasonable and prudent. St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies say he had a blood alcohol content of .15 percent, nearly double the legal limit.
Deputies say there were no passengers in the vehicle and Sayer was not injured.
Sayer was issued tickets and ordered to appear in court at a later date.
