RUSSELL – The St. Lawrence County Drug Task Force has charged a man with a possession of more than 10 pounds of marijuana and growing pot around his house.
Edgar T. Blackmer, 44, 70 Dana Hill Rd., faces a count of first-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a Class C felony, and a misdemeanor count of unlicensed marijuana growing.
The marijuana totaled more than 10 pounds, according to the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, which conducted the investigation.
Blackmer was arrested Thursday, Oct. 4 at about 12:50 p.m., according to Sheriff Kevin Wells.
He was arraigned before Canton Town Justice O’Horo and was released to the supervision of county probation authorities.
Blackmer is due back in court at 6 p.m. Oct. 15.
