GOUVERENEUR -- A Russell 17-year-old has been charged with two counts of third-degree burglary in an incident reported to state police Monday morning, among several charges made against him in Gouverneur Wednesday.

Dylan R. Sharpstene was jailed on those felony charges in lieu of $3,000 bail.

He was also charged with unlawfully growing cannabis, and Julia J. Weller, 17, Richville, was charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration in the same incident.

They were issued appearance tickets at 18 Johnstown St. in Gouverneur. Troopers are continuing to investigate.

Sharpstene was held in custody on yet another charge, petit larceny, made shortly thereafter. That incident is also still under investigation, according to state police.
