MASSENA -- Village police say a Rooseveltown man is jailed after not complying with officers’ commands during a traffic stop and refusing to allow officers to fingerprint him.
Adam M. Ortiz, 32, of P.O. Box 783 Rooseveltown is charged with three counts of obstructing governmental administration, single counts of third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, resisting arrest and unlicensed operation, and two counts of speeding, police said.
He was charged at 8:23 p.m. March 12 on Parker Avenue. Police said he allegedly wouldn’t obey officers’ commands to stop and was trying to get into his house, and also resisting being fingerprinted after at the police station following his arrest.
He was arraigned in Massena court by judge Eric Gustafson and remanded to the St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, in lieu of $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond, police said.
