OGDENSBURG -- Kobie Decker, from the Alzheimer’s Association, recently presented “Know the 10 Signs” and “The Basics” of Alzheimer’s disease at United Helpers RiverLedge campus. These presentations were attended by staff and were open to the public.
RiverLedge hosts an Alzheimer’s support group, open to all, on the second Tuesday of every month from 5 to 6 p.m. The next meeting is on June 12.
The support group is geared toward families who have love ones who reside at RiverLedge or people in the community who are having issues or questions about their loved ones.
“This group is a great place for families to vent, share stories, and learn coping mechanisms on how to help their loved ones,” said Missy Burke, social worker at RiverLedge.
