CANTON – A Richville man has been arrested for allegedly running his ATV into the back of four Holstein heifers and injuring their rear legs, according to St. Lawrence County sheriffs deputies.
Jonathan N. Graybill, 24, of 152 Hayden Rd., Richville, was charged at 6:15 p.m. Monday with four counts of torturing, injuring or not feeding an animal under state Agriculture and Market law, deputies said.
In addition to injuring the rear legs of the animals, the right side of one of the young cows was also damaged, deputies said.
Graybill was issued an appearance ticket returnable in DeKalb Town Court at a later date, deputies said.
