OGDENSBURG -- Bonnie and Dick Wright have donated money to help build a new wing named after them at the Richard E. Winter Cancer Treatment Center.
Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center Foundation spokesperson Krista Larock said at the Wrights’ request, they are not publicizing how much was donated.
Bonita Wright is the daughter of the center’s namesake.
“Winter made radiation oncology for cancer treatment a possibility in the North Country due to his generous donation in 1993 to help build the first comprehensive cancer center in St. Lawrence County,” reads a statement from Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center.
“Bonnie and Dick Wright want to carry on her father’s legacy of generosity in helping Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center to continue offering the best cancer care for patients in our community.”
