MASSENA -- There may be some traffic changes coming to School Street, which runs between Nightengale and J.W. Leary Junior High schools.
Mayor Tim Currier wants the village to look at the traffic there after getting reports from concerned citizens that it could be dangerous to children leaving school.
“The fact there’s no sidewalks, we’ve had some concerns down there about the traffic, the buses, people walking on the sides of the road,” Currier said. “Might be a simple case of having police down there, monitoring it and making some recommendations.”
