Rep. Bill Owens (D-Plattsburgh) will be visiting a school in Norwood and a business in Brasher Falls Friday.
Owens will visit with students at Norwood-Norfolk Central School at noon. He will meet with groups of students to talk about his role in Congress and issues of interest to the students.
Later in the day, Owens will visit the Tri-Town Packing Corporation in Brasher Falls, a stop on the congressman’s St. Lawrence County agriculture tour.
Tri-Town Packing Corporation has made meat products including pepper bologna; kielbasa, jalapeno and cheese hot dogs, and jerky, and has slaughtered and packed farm animals in the North Country for 30 years.
Owens represents New York’s 21st Congressional District, which covers all of St. Lawrence County and the counties across the North Country from North of Albany up to the Canadian border and across to Lake Ontario.
