OGDENSBURG -- The Frederic Remington Art Museum is now participating in the Blue Star Museums program.
Upwards of 2,000 museums nationwide, along with the Remington museum, are working with the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families and the Department of Defense to give free admission through Labor Day to active duty servicemen and women and their families. This includes National Guard and Reserves, U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps and NOAA Commissioned Corps.
Blue Star Families in a non-profit group that advocates for military family issues.
"We are very pleased to again offer Blue Star Museum participation to military families. There's a lot here for everybody, but with Remington's famous focus on military subjects, this is a natural fit for them. NEA Acting Chairman Joan Shigekawa said in a news release.
